There's no better way to ring in the New Year than with special friends. Although we did not actually ring in the New Year together, we did spend the evening with the Taylors. I guess when you are old (like I am) and have young children, staying up until 12:00 is really not that appealing. Especially when you are up at various times during the night taking your 3 year old to the potty or checking on your coughing 18 month old, staying up late is that last thing you want to do.
So we started our New Year's Eve celebrating at 4:00 with a family bowling night. Cindy's sweet boy Sam has a thing for bowling, so when she told me they were going to go bowling, I invited us along. Little did I know that my own 3 year would take a liking to the sport. Even more surprising was the fact that Allison wanted to play also. We didn't pay for her to play, so I let her play when it was my turn. It's a sad thing to admit, but once she bowled for me, my score actually doubled. I had about 3 gutter balls at the beginning. :(
Here are a couple of videos of the girls bowling. I'm sure we'll be going again sometime in the future.

Those videos are great! We'll have to take our kids bowling sometime soon. The only time they've been was to a place in Nashville that did not have the device to assist kids. I think our kids would love to bowl with that thing! (Sorry about my lack of technical terms when it comes to bowling!) Glad you all had fun.
Happy New Year!! :)
We had such a good time with you guys, too! And I had no idea you took some video....very cool! I think my camera can do that too, but I've never even tried it. You've inspired me! We'll have to get a big bowling group together some time!!
